The Manila Bankers Life Insurance Corporation, commonly known as MBLIFE, was founded by the late Senator Gil J. Puyat. The life insurance company was a result of a merger between the Alpha Mutual Life Insurance Company and Bankers Life Insurance Corporation. It became fully operational on May 19, 1967.
